Job summary

• The AWS Enterprise Engineering team is searching for a System Development Engineer with experience building and supporting highly scalable distributed systems. We leverage AWS technologies to operate on a global scale and deliver low-latency, highly-available services to enterprise customers.
• The AWS Enterprise Engineering organization is tackling new challenges to improve security, manageability, enforce compliance, and reduce operational cost via AWS-hosted services. We're looking for a System Dev Engineer who's self-driven, able to deal with ambiguity, passionate about giving customers the best possible experience and comes with strong Systems fundamentals.
• To succeed in this role, you should be incredibly customer focused, have a strong command of Linux shell scripts, must enjoy collaborating with teams across the company, and take pleasure from delighting customers with the high-quality development of products and services at a global scale.
• You should be excited to build on top of AWS services and comfortable learning new cutting-edge AWS services and technologies such as DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, Kinesis, CloudWatch, etc. In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to work on AWS technologies to operate on a global distributed scale and deliver low-latency, highly-available services to Windows and Linux based enterprise customers.

Basic Qualifications
Candidates having 1-4 years exp. preferably in python, Bash, DevOps, C/C++/Java in a Linux environment. The candidate must have good written and oral communication skills, be a fast learner, and have the ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced development environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven object-oriented design and implementation skills, preferably on Unix/Linux platform
• Experience automating software deployments and following a continuous delivery and deployment model
• Experience with agile software development methodologies
• Proficiency in more than one high-level programming language: Ruby, Python, Perl, or Java
• Experience with system analysis and troubleshooting in large-scale Linux environment
• Strong understanding of modern database technology, experience with AWS database products such as DynamoDB
